Repair
ECMs and engine control units, laptops and motherboards, automotive diagnostic equipment and general electronics. Component-level work, smart battery diagnostics and the jobs other shops turn away.
One workshop, two crafts. We repair the electronics others give up on — and we write the software that keeps the bench moving.
Black Horse Repairs started with a simple belief: modern electronics aren't disposable. We diagnose, repair and restore devices that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
What began as engine control module (ECM) diagnostics grew into full board-level repair — laptops, motherboards, CPU socket replacement and complex electronic assemblies. Along the way we started building our own tools, and those tools became products.
Today we're two things at once: a repair shop for automotive and consumer electronics, and a software house that designs, builds and distributes specialized software — including what we believe is the best software for budget BGA rework machines.
ECMs and engine control units, laptops and motherboards, automotive diagnostic equipment and general electronics. Component-level work, smart battery diagnostics and the jobs other shops turn away.
BGA rework station software, open-source PID controllers, multimeter display tools, eBay automation and battery analyzers — plus custom development for other companies, billed by the hour.
Component-level repair is slow, precise work. We're comfortable with the boards most shops write off.
Every repair and every product is treated like an engineering problem — diagnosed, measured and verified.
Our software isn't vapourware. It runs on our own bench every day before it ever reaches a customer.
Tell us what you're working on. We'll give you an honest answer, fast.
